Night Rating General Information The night qualification is a great addition to your license and will give increase your flying options during the long winter nights. Flying at night is great fun (if done safely !) and provides a whole new world of flying experiences. Requirements: 5 hours total night time (30 min after sundown to 30 min before sunrise) 3 hours dual / 2 hours solo No written exam and no check-ride !
